Day 14 Kulgera

Today we drove 430 kms. As we left town there were many mullock heaps where miners had been digging. We had morning tea at Marla and lunch at Kulgera just after we crossed the border into the Northern Territory. The vegetation was different again. Lots of mulga trees and scrub and even grass in places. We passed a number of properties with a few cattle grazing. The Musgrave Ranges were in the distance.
We also saw a couple of eagles on the side of the road eating a dead carcass. They are huge birds and move for no-one.
We are in a free camp at Welbourne Hill, about 20 kms north of Kulgera.
